[Virtual Class] Restorative Yoga Class for Cancer Patients and Caregivers

This weekly Restorative Yoga class consists of breathwork exercises, gentle restorative yoga poses, and meditation to reduce stress and anxiety. Breathwork allows one to embrace the present moment, while restorative yoga promotes relief from tension. The free class is specifically designed for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers and is useful for all impacted by cancer.

The class is offered by Integrative Healing, a non-profit organization, focused on an integrative approach to cancer treatment to boost the healing of patients impacted by cancer.

The class is taught by Meera Chari, a certified yoga teacher. She has a deep understanding of patients who are going through different stages in their treatment and is able to adjust the class to meet their needs. The class size is small to facilitate close attention from the instructor. It is taught on Zoom online, to practice in the safety and comfort of your home.

Participate in hands-on practice CPR & choking for infants and children in-person at one of our campuses; Mtn. View or Los Gatos.  This 2 ½ hour in-person class is recommended for parents and grandparents. Recommended to be taken in the 6th month to the 7th month of pregnancy or after baby is born. 

  • Couples/Partners (2 people): $100 total
    • Only one person needs to register on behalf of both.
  • Singles: $50 per person
  • NOT a certification class  
  • NO children allowed
  • Mask recommended during class

Registration, Attendance, Privacy & Refund Policy: 

  • Please plan to arrive on time to class.  If you arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of class, then you will not be admitted as the content missed cannot be made-up and is disruptive for the class.  Please contact us asap to inform us that you cannot arrive on time.
  • No recordings are available. 
  • For a full refund, you must request to cancel registration at least three (3) days prior to class start date, otherwise a transfer or credit will be issued. Accepting credit card payments through online registration only. 
  • Registration required at least 24 hours in advance to ensure access to the class.

[Virtual] Healthy Young Attitude Support Group

The Healthy Young Attitude (HYA) support group is a casual, friendly peer-support group of young adults who are going through or have gone through a diagnosis of cancer. We share support, social activities, treatment information, options, ideas, and inspirations. The process usually involves screening and discussion for questions prior to joining this support group.

Speaker bio: 

Naomi Qin is a Master's level Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist based in San Jose, specializing in diabetes education, infertility, and eating disorders. Currently pursuing a second Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, she is the founder of DragonFruitJoy, a private practice dedicated to holistic health.

Jennie Quon RD, IFNCP,CDCES is a Registered Dietitian, Integrative Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner,  Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.   She had been part of the Nutrition and Diabetes Care Team at Palo Alto Medical Foundation, with over 30 years of experience in medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and clinical nutrition counseling, specializing in chronic diseases.  She is currently in private practice, providing nutrition counseling via telehealth.

Reviews the benefits and techniques of breastfeeding and newborn feed and latching.  This 1-hour virtual session is ideal for expectant mothers and partners, and offers interactive chat with live Q&A.  Taught by our Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (CLEC). Recommended to be taken in the 6th month to the 7th month of pregnancy.  One (1) family member required to register. 

Fee per couple or household:  $15

  • Offered FREE with Childbirth Express Class; requires sperate registration to receive the promo-code and may be applied towards any breastfeeding class at check-out.
