Comfort Measures for Labor
This 1.5 hours class reviews and demonstrates comfort measure and pain coping techniques for labor and birth. Pregnant people and their support person will also have dedicated time to practice evidence-based techniques including breathing, positioning, and more.

Class is designed to be taken after attending your childbirth or Healthy Pregnancy for South Asian class, in your 3rd trimester, building on your knowledge about labor and birth.
Class will cover:
- Relationship to pain
- Fear-Tension-Pain cycle
- The role of tools other than medications in all types of birth experiences
- How partners can support the laboring person
- Breathing and Relaxation techniques
- Movement and positions for labor and birth
- The role of Touch and massage in labor
- Other tools such as aromatherapy, music, acupressure, and vibe setting
