醫生簡介：盧嘉琦醫師（Kaye A. Lu, MD, MPH）為乳房外科專科醫師，專精於良性及惡性乳房疾病的診治。盧醫師特別擅長「腫瘤整形手術」──結合腫瘤切除與乳房外觀修復的治療方式，並致力於高風險乳癌患者的照護。她曾發表多篇關於提高手術照護品質與病患治療成效的研究論文，並能以流利的中文與粵語溝通。

講座將會以普通話進行。

In this talk, we will explore the evolving landscape of breast cancer risk assessment, focusing on high-risk screening methods and genetic testing. With increasing evidence highlighting the role of genetics in breast cancer risk, it is essential to understand how these tools can be used. Specifically, we’ll address the unique challenges and opportunities within Asian American communities, a group that is often underrepresented in research and clinical guidelines

Physician Bio: Kaye A. Lu, MD, MPH,  is a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgeon who specializes in both benign (noncancerous) and malignant (cancerous) breast conditions. She has a special interest in oncoplastic breast surgery — an approach that combines cancer removal with techniques to preserve or restore the natural appearance of the breast, as well as caring for high-risk breast cancer patients. Dr. Lu has published papers on improving surgical care and patient outcomes. She speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese.
