Discusses the 4th trimester, the period after the birth of a baby, the changes that occur, the opportunities to enhance parent wellbeing and plan for as well as promote self-care during this important time.  This 1-hour virtual group session is ideal for parents and their support partner(s) who are preparing for the birth of a baby.  Session is free and meets once every month; and brought to you by the Maternal Outreach Mood Services (MOMS) Program & Scrivner Center for Mental Health & Addiction Services.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of death in the United States.

According to the American Cancer Society, one in five of all cancer deaths are from lung cancer. It is estimated that approximately 226,650 people in the U.S. are newly diagnosed with lung cancer in 2025. Smoking is the highest risk factor. Other known factors are air pollution and exposure to radon, asbestos, or diesel exhaust. Those who pre-register will be able to partake in a free diagnostic lung cancer screening. Attendees must pre-register online.

The Free Community Lung Cancer Screening event has a pre-screening evaluation. Limited space available for selected participants to get free lung cancer screening. Additional qualifying registrants will be chosen to be on the waitlist.

It is required to completely fill out the registration form with as much information as possible.  Answering all questions is required.  If you are chosen as one of the pre-screening recipients, you will receive a separate email and or a phone call with all the details for the screening appointment.

Please complete your online pre-registration by Monday, November 3, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Limited space available for selected participants to get free skin cancer screening.  There is a waitlist for each time slot.

Monthly Ask a Dietitian: What You Need to Know About Cholesterol and Fat

Do you know the connection between fat and cardiovascular health? What are the different types of fats, and do you know how to choose good fats? Were you aware that recent research from 2015 indicates that elevated cholesterol levels may not solely result from consuming high-cholesterol foods? Let's learn together about how to regulate fat and cholesterol intake in your diet to maintain cardiovascular well-being.

The dietitian will begin with a 30-minute presentation covering essential nutrition information and addressing common misconceptions, followed by a Q&A session in the latter half.

The Healthy Young Attitude (HYA) support group is a casual, friendly peer-support group of young adults who are going through or have gone through a diagnosis of cancer. We share support, social activities, treatment information, options, ideas, and inspirations. The process usually involves screening and discussion for questions prior to joining this support group.
