Reviews the benefits and techniques of breastfeeding and newborn feed and latching.  This 1-hour virtual session is ideal for expectant mothers and partners, and offers interactive chat with live Q&A.  Taught by our Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (CLEC). Recommended to be taken in the 6th month to the 7th month of pregnancy.  One (1) family member required to register. 

Fee per couple or household:  $15

  • Offered FREE with Childbirth Express Class; requires sperate registration to receive the promo-code and may be applied towards any breastfeeding class at check-out.

Registration, Privacy & Refund Policy: No recordings are available.  For a full refund, you must request to cancel registration at least three (3) days prior to class start date, otherwise a transfer or credit will be issued.  Accepting credit card payments through online registration only. Registration required at least 24 hours in advance to ensure access to the class.

Discusses the numerous baby care topics, such as baby development and crying, dressing and diapering, feeding and sleeping, holding a newborn, and illness prevention and newborn appearance. 

This 3-hour virtual session is ideal for childcare providers, grandparents and parents, and offers interactive chat with live Q&A. 

Recommended to be taken in the 6th month to the 7th month of pregnancy.

The Power of Connection: Supporting the Elderly Across Generations and over Long Distance

Whether living in the U.S. or across the Pacific, many Chinese immigrants face the challenge of caring for their aging parents. In today’s digital era, there are fewer clear role models of “filial piety.” How can this generation reinterpret filial piety? How can we balance long-distance responsibilities and generational differences, while supporting seniors’ physical and emotional wellbeing and strengthening intergenerational connections?

Speaker: Wei-Chien Lee, PhD, clinical psychologist

Speaker Bio: Ph.D. Counseling Psychology from Purdue University. Stanford Postdoc. Licensed Clinical Psychologist and National Certified Counselor. Faculty at San Jose State. Provided more than 500 trainings and workshops to community members, mental health providers, and organizations to improve mental health.
